One World has started with awarding the Homo Homini prize

On Wednesday night the 12th edition of One World was officially launched at the Prague Crossroads. As in years past, the Homo Homini award, which is granted by People in Need to honour people who have significantly contributed to promoting human rights, democracy and non-violent resolutions of political conflicts, was given to its winners. This year’s award was granted to Majid Tavakoli and Abdullah Momeni, two imprisoned Iranian student leaders, and in spirit to the entire Iranian pro-reform student movement that has emerged over the last two generations.
