Zurawski v Texas

(Zurawski v Texas)

Amanda Zurawski nearly died due to Texas’s abortion ban and now can’t have a child because of the procedures she underwent. In an effort to change the law, she takes her painful case to court (she was unable to carry her child to term for medical reasons).

Her story triggers a wave of testimonies from others determined to speak out about the trauma resulting from a system that led to life-threatening situations. They unite and with indomitable lawyer Molly sue the state of Texas for denying them the right to an abortion. They are fighting for a woman’s freedom to decide about her pregnancy.

What unfolds is an uncensored courtroom drama where the courage of individual women to speak about their experiences offers hope of winning the right to legalise essential health care for women who need it.
