Even though microbiology depends on a supply of animals for vaccine testing, unlike the busy laboratories that humanity focused on during Covid, their profession is on the verge of extinction. Herds of goats, sheep and pigs are driven through the sterile corridors of the labs, unaware that they’ll never make it out alive. The film tells the story of the relationship between humans, animals and science in post-pandemic times.
