The film takes viewers to today’s Fukushima, where survivors of the 2011 disaster still face long-term consequences. Working with a colourful but crumbling reality, volumetric photography and photogrammetry create an evocative poetic experience.
Personal stories interwoven with questions of community, ecology and identity, take us to a space where memories of lost homes intermingle with images of abandoned landscapes marked by radiation hazards. Locals share their views about what home meant to them, and how it can be redefined in the light of a major loss. The film is a visually compelling reflection on resilience, humanity and the search for meaning in life after disaster.
