Gottsunda – “G” in local slang – is a suburb of Uppsala, Sweden, notorious for crime and gangs. Originally from here, director Loran Batti spent 5 years capturing on camera the unique character of the neighbourhood and the lifestyle of his friends who live on the edge of the law.

In 2002, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Claude Baechtold, a young Swiss graduate who identifies as an anti-militarist, finds himself in a war zone in Afghanistan. He sets off, not entirely voluntarily, on an extensive journey across the country with two reporter friends.

After coming out in the 1990s, he left Israel, moved to New York, and focused on reforming Judaism.
