The school photo she thought was her own turns out to be a fake. Asmae sets out to untangle the web of family lies spun from myths related to the 1981 uprising in Morocco.
A young filmmaker confronts her family in an attempt to discover the truth about their shared past. But each relative has a different version of the story. Asmae thus finds herself at a crossroads where her personal vision of the world, historical facts and the desire to turn a blind eye to certain events are entangled. Using puppets, she re-enacts dramatic stories from the uprising in Morocco with her family members. But even the walls have ears here, and her pertinent questions lead to the final clash between two strong female characters who fundamentally influenced the path of her adolescence.
