Katarína Batková

Director of VIA IURIS

Katarína Batková is currently the Executive Director of the non-governmental organisation VIA IURIS, which focuses on improving the rule of law and the environment in Slovakia. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Trnava and completed her doctoral studies in international and European law in Bratislava. In the past, she worked as a lawyer at the Legal Aid Centre, in legal practice, and in parliament, where she prepared legislative draft laws. Since 2015, she has been working in the non-profit sector, first as the Director of the Youth Council of Slovakia, and she is actively involved in the work of the Platform for Democracy, which represents the interests of the non-profit sector in relation to the government.
