Andrea Michalcová

Andrea Michalcová is the director of the Centre for an Informed Society, which she co-founded. She focuses on analysing the decline of democracy in Central Europe, the rise of populism, and the hybrid influence that the Russian Federation is exerting in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. She has been working in the non-governmental sector in the Czech Republic for 11 years. Previously, she held the position of Deputy Director at the Center for Security Policy European Values. She is a co-author of the study What is Failing the Defence of Democracy Against Hybrid Threats in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which was recently published by the CIS.
