Touching Darkness
Vítek, aged 10, lives in darkness. How does he perceive the world? This short animated film takes us into his daily life, where hearing, touch and a child’s imagination play a major role.
Matúš, aged 12, is afraid of heights. He’s never dared to climb the tower that looms over his hometown. All his classmates have, but not him. He decides to overcome his fear to prove to himself and others that he can do it.
His best friend Emka, who is blind, encourages him. She dreams of seeing the view from the top, which she will never be able to do. Matúš not only wants to overcome himself, but also to find a way to communicate his experience to Emka. A story about courage, friendship and keeping a promise, it shows that even the greatest obstacles can be overcome with the help of others.
