Where to begin

Are you going to One World but don’t know where to start? While the festival is primarily about films, it’s much more than that. One World stands out for its unique combination of screenings and post-film debates, which give viewers the opportunity to put what they’ve seen into context, explore the topic further, or ask questions about what interests them. The hosts of the debates can be filmmakers, film experts, or professionals from various fields.

If you’re interested in any of our films, head to the Daily Programme section, where you can find out when and where each screening takes place. The festival is held in several Prague cinemas, and you can purchase tickets on-site or at one of our Info Stands. However, the best option is to buy tickets online via the GoOut portal, where you can also purchase discounted ticket packages of 3, 5, or 10 tickets. With these packages, the price per ticket can drop to as low as 130 CZK, which is why we highly recommend them.

One World considers the right to culture a fundamental human right. That is why we have long been committed to ensuring maximum accessibility for everyone. In addition to barrier-free access, relaxed screenings and screenings with descriptive subtitles, we also offer screenings with audio description, all provided in Czech. Selected debates are interpreted into Czech Sign Language and simultaneously transcribed into Czech.

You can filter screenings by accessibility in the Daily Programme section. A complete list of the festival's accessibility measures can be found in the dedicated Accessibility section. If you have any questions, feel free to visit the infopoint at the Lucerna cinema or email us at info@jedensvet.cz.

The One World festival traditionally includes the East Doc Platform (EDP) industry section, which we organise in cooperation with the Institute of Documentary Film. You can find more information about the EDP on our website.
